Redeeming Destiny:2-Through a Sound mind

The mind is the Central processing unit of the body. It relays and controls information according to the data input. This means that a mind that receives positive input will process positive thoughts while the opposite is true for a mind that receives negative input. It is therefore of paramount importance to feed the mind with signals whose frequency generates a healthy relay of information. This means that what a person hears or sees becomes the derivative of what he or she will process in his or her thought life. A positive thought life promotes a balanced individual whilst a negative thought life cripples a person to nothing but a timid block of flesh with a heart that never gets tired of pumping fear, low confidence so that the person suffers from a rare form of mental Kwashiorkor. Such a person becomes vulnerable to predators and vultures who will feast on his or her timidity to fulfill their egocentric agendas.

God’s plan for every person is that they have a sound mind. He created people to think. He Himself is a great thinker and as such it is normal for his image to think. Individuals were created in the image of the Almighty. An image is a reflection that bears all the features of the source. If the source is round so is the image. Surprisingly if the source moves the image also moves and it goes wherever the source goes. If the image was to be taken to a commissioner of oaths he would certify it as a true copy of original owing to the presence of all the features of the source. It is therefore imperative for every individual to think. Thinking therefore makes the minimum credentials of a balanced person. Thinking is not a sin. No wages of sin can be paid as a result of thinking. In fact he who cannot think risks dying before his or her death. His Destiny is uncertain and risks imprisonment in a dungeon of mind control that cuts out every limb of possibility and self actualization.

For this reason it is important to acknowledge the role of a sound mind in redeeming a destiny that seems irredeemable. It is pivotal to ponder on the ways that promote a sound mind in order to foster the generation of healthy thoughts that concur with God’s plan for a sound mind for everyone. One way of doing this is by word of mouth. What this means is that a person should be careful of the kind of information he or she receives. In the paragraph below Revolution depicts the thoughts of a person hit by a missile generated by a tongue that ceases to be a taste organ. Such a tongue becomes a propeller of emotional bombs that cannot be withstood even by the most ruthless Taliban in Afghanistan. Listen to this.

When you opened your mouth, I rushed to listen to your proposition for l knew you to be this sweet voice that could be heard even by the deafest ear. When l saw you roll your tongue l almost resigned to a passionate submission for l knew you to be an irresistible kisser of good news that gave an explicit goodness to the loins and groins of the vulnerable. When you opened your mouth l turned off the music for l knew you to be this special song that was composed in the holy of holies, but little did l know that all hell had broken loose. Even the most trusted cavity protector from Palmolive Brothers could not prevent the unpleasant stench that diffused from your mouth. That holy song was never sung, that soothing voice became this barbaric voice whose ravings left me swimming in an orgy of vindictive passions. You fired missiles that tore my heart to pieces. The kiss of good news never materialized; instead you bit me where no mosquito has ever traded. I let you hold my heart but instead you put it down. I bled, cried until l could cry no more. Of course someone stitched my heart but l will never forget that day, the day ‘when you opened your mouth’.”

Clearly such a tongue brings no sound mind. It edifies no soul and cannot input positive information to nourish an individual. The point to drive home here is that what kind of information are you subjecting yourself to? Who are you listening to? What pictures are you feeding into your central processing unit? Whose image are you? Who is your source? These are rhetoric questions that should trigger you to a point of mental interrogation. These should make one realize that destiny calls for a sound mind. It calls for a healthy mind: it does not require a malnourished brain neither does it make use of a withered thought centre.

Destiny certainly cannot be redeemed by a mind that is frequently subjected to fungi and pests that attack the growth of positive thoughts. In conclusion it is our duty to administer pesticides that fight pests that prey onto our minds. It is our duty to administer fungicides that destroy mental fungi. These fungicides include reading positive books, keeping good company, using your time wisely to mention a few. The list is endless. You are free to add on other ways of generating a sound mind. It is only a sound mind that redeems Destiny, it is only a sound mind that sounds necessary music in the presence of empty vessels that makes the most noise.

Know yourself

There is absolutely nothing wrong with spending 10% of your time doing something that you do not particularly like because it is your duty to perform this task. Howvever this is subject to the condition that you spend at least 70% of your time doing something that you do like. Then the 10% that you dislike can be easily “swept under the carpet”.

On the other hand, if you spend 10% of your time doing the tasks that you dislike and the other 70% trying to figure out ways to avoid doing the things that you dislike or even worse stuck in a job taht you have no care for for an unforcastable amount of time, then i have to say you are in trouble.

That is the source of chronic depression amongst most adults in this era. The poison that sinks into men’s very livelihoods and threatens to wipe out the very fabrick of their existence.

Anyway the goal of this discussion is not to glorify the objects of our lives that make living life a nightmare brought to life, but to direct the participant towards a purposeful way of living that will ensure that he achieves the goals that he sets out to accomplish and never loses hope in his destiny.

Know thyself, know what you like, what you love and what you have a relentless and undeniable passion for. What you can spend hours at time doing and feel cheated when you have to stop to do another task or duty.

Dont just vagely have an idea of your passion,, but give it time to grow and mature in you. Associate yourself with people that have a similar passion or need within their hearts. Feed it nurture it you may be surprised how in the end your passion will inevitably lead you to your destiny.

Not to say that you will be immediately the grand master of the object of your passion, but given time and effort, you will accomplish tasks that may far exceed your expectations.

God has equiped us with an inert ability that is just waiting to be triggered that we may achieve great things. Same as the lord Jesus Christ sojourned the earth for thirty years before He began His work, after a process of self realisation and purpose orientation in his 40 day fast.

So have we to seek out the time at which we are appointed to carry out the purpose for which we have been placed on this earth.

Silent Heroes

Okay. So maybe the world has been a little rough on you, but you know what it has been rough on everybody. Each and every human being on this earth has had his share of the world beating down on him unfairly.

There is no single person out there given the time and motivation who is unable to recount some sob story about how someone or some group of people in society have let him down or dissapointed him when he least expected it.

There are people in our lives that seem to have been literally sent by God into our lives. Those people who never seem to be unwilling or without the desire even though means are not always available to make a menaingful contribution in our lives. To make the effort to see us smile and be comfortable eve though there is no direct benefit to themselves.

These are the heores of our lives, they do not necessarily have much, or live the model lifestyle for that matter those people whom when we think of them feel more than just a moral obligation, but a longing to do something for them that would literally make their faces glow.

The people that try to pull you up in life so you may achieve your dreams. The people that when you dream of greater things than they can imagine do not put you down but offer you their shoulders to stand on. That you may see further, dream bigger, imagine greater and realise your potential.

Who are these great heroes that do so much? Usually those guys who shove you forward when you aare afraid to take the leap of faith, the ones that catch you when you fall. The ones that are never judgemental about why something you set out to do failed.

The ones that you can count on to be there when things turn sour. The ones that lift you up and stand aside and cheer you on when you succeed. Yes we each have such people in our lives, the guardian angels of our lives, the unsung heroes who seek nothing from us but our own success.

If you still dont know them or are too blind to see who they are, then let me shed some light. These are the mothers, the father, the brother, the aunt, the sister, the grandfather, the friend, the boyfriend, the girlfriend, the mentor, the counseller not necessarily all but as an axample may come in the form of any one of the above.

The ones whose chastise actually means something. Who when they say they are hurt by our actions you feel a deep pain in your gut telling you that something is amiss.

Yes these are the people that are the fire on a wintery night, that no matter where you are. How deep and hopeless a situation is and how insumountable a task may seeem to be, that you can take a deep breath. Imagine them by your side, what they would say to you in such a situation, get up and with renewed zest and determination take on the challenge set before you.

So whenever life hits you below the belt, remember the good days, those people that made you not only smile, but actually feel good about yourself, and know that you are worth it, because you realy are.
