Redeeming Destiny:2-Through a Sound mind

The mind is the Central processing unit of the body. It relays and controls information according to the data input. This means that a mind that receives positive input will process positive thoughts while the opposite is true for a mind that receives negative input. It is therefore of paramount importance to feed the mind with signals whose frequency generates a healthy relay of information. This means that what a person hears or sees becomes the derivative of what he or she will process in his or her thought life. A positive thought life promotes a balanced individual whilst a negative thought life cripples a person to nothing but a timid block of flesh with a heart that never gets tired of pumping fear, low confidence so that the person suffers from a rare form of mental Kwashiorkor. Such a person becomes vulnerable to predators and vultures who will feast on his or her timidity to fulfill their egocentric agendas.

God’s plan for every person is that they have a sound mind. He created people to think. He Himself is a great thinker and as such it is normal for his image to think. Individuals were created in the image of the Almighty. An image is a reflection that bears all the features of the source. If the source is round so is the image. Surprisingly if the source moves the image also moves and it goes wherever the source goes. If the image was to be taken to a commissioner of oaths he would certify it as a true copy of original owing to the presence of all the features of the source. It is therefore imperative for every individual to think. Thinking therefore makes the minimum credentials of a balanced person. Thinking is not a sin. No wages of sin can be paid as a result of thinking. In fact he who cannot think risks dying before his or her death. His Destiny is uncertain and risks imprisonment in a dungeon of mind control that cuts out every limb of possibility and self actualization.

For this reason it is important to acknowledge the role of a sound mind in redeeming a destiny that seems irredeemable. It is pivotal to ponder on the ways that promote a sound mind in order to foster the generation of healthy thoughts that concur with God’s plan for a sound mind for everyone. One way of doing this is by word of mouth. What this means is that a person should be careful of the kind of information he or she receives. In the paragraph below Revolution depicts the thoughts of a person hit by a missile generated by a tongue that ceases to be a taste organ. Such a tongue becomes a propeller of emotional bombs that cannot be withstood even by the most ruthless Taliban in Afghanistan. Listen to this.

When you opened your mouth, I rushed to listen to your proposition for l knew you to be this sweet voice that could be heard even by the deafest ear. When l saw you roll your tongue l almost resigned to a passionate submission for l knew you to be an irresistible kisser of good news that gave an explicit goodness to the loins and groins of the vulnerable. When you opened your mouth l turned off the music for l knew you to be this special song that was composed in the holy of holies, but little did l know that all hell had broken loose. Even the most trusted cavity protector from Palmolive Brothers could not prevent the unpleasant stench that diffused from your mouth. That holy song was never sung, that soothing voice became this barbaric voice whose ravings left me swimming in an orgy of vindictive passions. You fired missiles that tore my heart to pieces. The kiss of good news never materialized; instead you bit me where no mosquito has ever traded. I let you hold my heart but instead you put it down. I bled, cried until l could cry no more. Of course someone stitched my heart but l will never forget that day, the day ‘when you opened your mouth’.”

Clearly such a tongue brings no sound mind. It edifies no soul and cannot input positive information to nourish an individual. The point to drive home here is that what kind of information are you subjecting yourself to? Who are you listening to? What pictures are you feeding into your central processing unit? Whose image are you? Who is your source? These are rhetoric questions that should trigger you to a point of mental interrogation. These should make one realize that destiny calls for a sound mind. It calls for a healthy mind: it does not require a malnourished brain neither does it make use of a withered thought centre.

Destiny certainly cannot be redeemed by a mind that is frequently subjected to fungi and pests that attack the growth of positive thoughts. In conclusion it is our duty to administer pesticides that fight pests that prey onto our minds. It is our duty to administer fungicides that destroy mental fungi. These fungicides include reading positive books, keeping good company, using your time wisely to mention a few. The list is endless. You are free to add on other ways of generating a sound mind. It is only a sound mind that redeems Destiny, it is only a sound mind that sounds necessary music in the presence of empty vessels that makes the most noise.

“The Money Tree” : Land Preparation – Part 1

In any business, it is essential that you make sure that you do the ground work first before you begin to inject any of your seed.

Shoddy preperation, no matter how good the seed input and effort thereafter may rob you of the potential output from your input effort.

First impressions count.
The most important thing that you can have from a client is his confidence. Confidence in your ability to get… not just barely get the job done… but do it excellence, in a classy manner.

Confidence in your ability is the client retainer. Clients will come back for a second sale based on how impressed they are based not only on the work you have done but also the impression and perception they have of you.

It is this perception that markets you and extends your reach and influence.

On the other hand you should take note that you create an environment that suits the type of business. You have to, “dress the part, so to speak”.

There is absolutely no need to present an exterior that is clearly innappropriate for the job, for example going for an interview that seeks a proffessional plumber, gardener, landscaper or handyman putting on an expensive suit.

That is clearly not aligned with the job at hand, and if a suit sits well on you (like it does on me) you may have a difficult time convincing the interviewer that you are capable of getting the job done at all.

Appearances need to be appropriate for the job at hand, but then there is an added advantage for going the extra mile. For example a free lance photographer who shows up already in gear equipped with some cameras is at an adantage to one that just…. well for lack of a better word.. that just shows up.

The business premises reflect the characteristics of the culture and nature of the environment at the firm. In my gardening example, a farm that is producing crops in the middle of weeds, with stones dirt and garbage openly visible would greatly hamper the prospects of a potential supplying contract with a major buyer.

Likewise, the office environment speaks volumes about the attitude of the firm and its employees about its associated business. It is the responsibility of the principle promoter, that is the owner or manager of the business to ensure that the bar is set in terms of visible standards of organisation and seriousness.

A client walking into a building should not get lost! If the reception area is lost in a labyrinth of dark passages and corners, it is highly likely that you will lose more clients than those you gain.

I have been in situations where I end up knocking on the “Senior” Manager’s office, just to get directions to his receptionist, but that obvously defeats the very purpose of the system.

The layout of the firm is very essential if speedy and efficient execution of the work is to be done.

So a significant amount of time has to be spent in “clearing and preparing the land”, a well designed and good product may be discredited by the appearance that is displayed by ist handlers.

The environment has to be set up in a manner that allows for the free flow of information and the efficient transfer of goods and services.

In a set up where by production or manufacturing of the said product, it is advantageous to ensure that the client is kept as far away and as unaware of the hustle and bustle of activity.

I know of several people who just love to eat chicken meat but cant stand the sight of blood and would not want to be anywhere near a place were chickens are being slaughtered.

Thus it would be very unwise to have a butchery, were if one just peaks behind the counter, they can clearly see the slaughter house in full swing.

Redeeming Destiny:1 -Through Goodhope

Hope is an expectation that generates an inward belief that things will be alright. It is a ray of light that leaks onto darkness so that it leads to light at the end of the tunnel. It boosts one’s enthusiasm and willingness to press on the mission. In other words mission impossible becomes mission possible as the eye begins to see the bigger picture beyond what can be seen. Even him who has one eye or no eye at all begins to see the bright prospects of a better tomorrow when today is no better that yesterday. Hope becomes the eye that destroys myopic strongholds that hold back the ability to see the treasure that seems distant. Good hope generates goodness in a seeming cycle of misfortune so that unfortunate situations become the foundation of a fortune that can last a lifetime. It is Good hope that cannot keep a good man down. It is Good hope that gives strength at the point of weakness and it is indeed Good hope that gives hope in hopelessness. When hope is lost dreams are assassinated so that individuals retire to low self efficacy and low confidence levels. A person with low self efficacy has a syndrome that cripples the ability to unleash the dynamite that can breakthrough any challenge. Such individuals would cry of hunger whilst they sit on gold mines. In other words the ability to utilize the great deal of the potential they possess becomes no deal at all. An individual with low self efficacy is no better than a stooge or a zombie. In other words he does not believe in himself. The confidence scale of such an individual reads zero so that he or she does not confide in his or her own ability to rise above situations. However Good hope provides a remedy to such a situation. It gives the necessary foundation to build the much needed confidence that promotes one’s growth.

Destiny therefore rests on Good hope. He who does not have hope cannot move forward let alone hop like a grasshopper. In short he cannot walk even if his legs have the muscle that can make him run. He is incapacitated even if he has the capacity to surge forward. That way he cannot drift towards destiny. All he can do is be stagnant or drift away so that the breath of joy and exhilaration escapes like air from a punctured balloon. It is therefore necessary to grow Good hope by adhering to best practices that ensure growth.

These include:

• Hanging around people who generate confidence in you. This means keeping good company. Good company promotes growth by giving encouragement and positivity. There is power in the tongue and so it is better hang around those that will speak life instead of using their red taste organs to assassinate the vital hope in an individual

• Running away from killers of passion and killers of possibility. This simply means that bad company must not be kept. There is no need to hang around those who will inject you with unnecessary energy that always keeps you at the back. Such kind of energy ensures that you are the tail at all times. The truth is that the tail is the most energetic yet it will always be at the back.

• Hope is also generated by frequent affirmations that renew the mind. Affirmations are a set of positive words that represent a balance of system that nourishes the thought life. This means affirmations appeal to one’s mind so that an individual becomes conscious of the need to stretch imaginations to a helm of mental change. Such a change or paradigm shift then grows positivity as these positive words are spoken. Consequently hope is generated because hope is a function or derivative of a positive mind.

These are some of the few methods of building hope in order to redeem a Destiny that seems to be irredeemable. Stay tuned for more.

The Money tree Part 1: The Seed ~ An effective supplier

This is a continuation of “The Money Tree series’, please read the previous posts on trhis topic for more infromation. We are currently focused on the importance of a reliable supplier and how to identify a possible future default.

4. Company facilities also form a good test of company viability. This
is not very different from the maintanance of production machinery and

Naturally you would expect a more reliable and consistent production
from a large and prominent factory than what you would expect from a
backyard factory. (Though I would like to add that quite a lot of
prominent companies started in the backyard garages before exploding
into the multi billion dollar enterprises that we know of today. And
some well established companies have virtually collapsed over night
and some companies exist entirely in ciberspace depending on the
individual coordination of numerous workstations all over the globe.
So it may not be entirely wise to base your whole decision on this one
factor alone)

5. Duration in business. Companies that have been supplying for a long
time are most likely to remain in business for a long time after

New companies may be a bit more volatile as it is not certain wether
they are here to stay, or they are just “fly by night” concepts.

A business that has been there for longer is most likely to be able to
anticipate and weather the “storms” that may come its way and be able
to ride them out whilst maintaining a consistent supply of its

A newer business might not have structures in place to maintain an
adequate supply as it goes through a rough patch, though it may
eventually overcome its huddles. But the goal in question is how to
maintain a consistent supply of our seed input as the firm continues
as a going concern.

6. External influence e.g. gvt, climate, civil unrest. This is by far
the most volatile and challenging things that a business can operate
under. A new law or bill passed by parliament can have the effect of
opening or closing various windows of opportunity.

For example a company that uses wheat as a primary input could be
affected by a new law that a government parastatal now has the sole
right to purchase wheat products from farms.

A firm may concider getting a contract with the parastatal to buy
from it or to assist in collection of wheat in exchange for some
concessions in purchasing, or even consider backwards intergration,
whereby it moves into farming and produces its own wheat under one

So the above is just among a few methods that a firm may go around
odds mounted against it by a huge force.

The Money Tree:Part 1 ~ The seed; Supplier Cont.

This is a continuation of “The Money Tree” series.
We are currently focusing on the Seed and its supplier, commenting on the need for efficient service delivery and how it affects your business outlook.

Today we shall focus on telltale signs that a potential supplier may potentialy fail you when you need him most.

Sometimes you may misjudge companies and we want to explore how to avoid such mistakes.

So my gift to you… The first three of six in my series…. enjoy

1. One way to enure this is to track the supplying company’s history, information can be acquired through informal conversations with related businesses, the supplier’s own suppliers, internet searches or even consumers of related products that the supplier produces.

A company with a good record of reliability on the market over a given period of time is highly likely to remain the same for a long period after that.

2. Employee turnover may also be another good indicator of reliability.

A firm that has a fairly high level of employee turnover, especially of skilled personnel or management level employees is highly likely to begin to fail at some point in the near future as it begins to buckle under the loss of specialised personnel, especially if the are not easily replaceable or take a long time to train and employ.

This is also an indicator that there are underlying problems within the supplying firm that might not be revealed by an external view ior a casual inspection. Therefore the firm is liable to fail to produce the key ingredient at some point in the future.

3. Company financial statements are also extremely useful in assessing the viability of cosistent production in the long run. These are easily obtainable in publicly traded companies as they are required by law to regularly publish them in easily accessible media whether electronically on the internet or physically in local newspapers.

The statement that most people generally rush for is the….. you guessed it, the Profit and Loss. Most people generally rush for the bottom line, they want to find out if the company is making a profit.
Generally this is correct, but it is hardly sufficient.

3.1Profit is a neccessary, but not neccessarily sufficient condition to ensure that a company is viable in the longrun.

A manager under pressure from investors may, run long hours on machinery, increase production time requirements on employees, reduce maintanance breaks and so on and so forth.

This will have the effect of increasing profit figures, but in the long run, a company can face a sudden and unexpected total collapse of all systems. Unexpected to the casual observer, but very much anticipated to the trained eye.

Some industries are seasonal or annual, they experience peaks and slumps depending on the period of high and low demand. Such industries may suddenly experience a sharp increase in the bottom line in one season and a sharp decline in the next, for example a toy manufacturing company may record high sales in the period preceding the festive season as shops stock up on supplies of toys for presents, and then a sudden sharp decline in the January period as most families face the strain of the so called “January disease.”

So a better analysis of any financial statement is to trace the history, preferably over a few several years and see wether a trend is evident.

The best trends being those in which the firms’ sales may be fluctuating but trending upwards with the effect of seasonal changes being removed.

NB. The help of trained proffessionals is advisable here.

3.2 I usually find a more usefull statement when analysing the strength of the company to be the cash flow statement. now this gives you a more accurate picture of management’s practices and attitudes towards company perfomance.

You can easily tell where due diligence is being performed and where there is an unneccessary waste of resources.

It can also be a warning light as it can show you if the firm is not doing some of the expected duties, for example if the staff is clearly underpaid or managers are abusing company resources. Where machinery is not being properly maintained or were there is a too frequent dependance refinancing the business.

The rate of cash inflow also indicates wether the firm may be able to continue operations or not. A firm might post a profit, but the cash inflow may be realised several months later, but the prerequisites for that is an immediate cash outflow which the company does not have.
A few such deals may lead to the firm failing to meet demand requirements and result in failure to supply your seed input.

This clearly shows that there is a problem in the business system and sooner or later the supply chain may become clogged.
